CeCe Grant
for Wake County Soil & Water Conservation
District Board of Supervisors
Healthy Soil. Clean Water. Better Lives.
Meet CeCe
Ten years ago, I began working on environmental issues because I believed we could build healthier communities by protecting the natural resources we all depend on. Since then, I've advocated for sustainable agriculture, worked to reduce industrial pollution, and developed common-sense solutions to address climate change.
I'm a city girl at heart. When I moved to North Carolina, I discovered something I hadn't experienced growing up: towering trees, working farms just outside our neighborhoods, lakes where families gather, and green spaces woven into everyday life. I fell in love with Wake County because of its people, its energy, and its natural beauty.
As Wake County continues to grow, we have an opportunity - and a responsibility - to protect the natural resources that make this such a special place to call home. That's why I'm running for the Wake County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.
CeCe has more than 15 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, and coalition building, including service on Capitol Hill and in the Obama Administration. She holds master's degrees in Political Management from George Washington University and Communications from Wayne State University, and is proud to call Raleigh home.
Why This Office Matters
Most people have never heard of the Soil and Water Conservation District - but its work affects nearly everyone in Wake County. The District partners with farmers, homeowners, businesses, schools, and local governments to protect our natural resources through education, technical assistance, and voluntary conservation programs.
- Protecting local farms and preserving agricultural land
- Improving water quality in our streams, lakes, and rivers
- Helping homeowners solve erosion and drainage problems
- Supporting stormwater solutions that reduce flooding
- Connecting residents with conservation grants and technical assistance
- Teaching the next generation about environmental stewardship
My goal is to make this important office more visible, more accessible, and more effective for everyone.
